This four-day truly unique experience is curated by Nichlas – gusmaster and sauna enthusiast based in Helsingborg – together with Northern Star Destinations.

More than a wellness retreat, it’s a celebration of sauna in all its forms. Guided by passion, shaped by knowledge, and delivered with warmth.

4 days of authentic sauna culture and Finnish nature

 

Saunas to visit:

5 – Kuusijärvi Smoke Sauna, Glass sauna in Santalahti, Tykkimäki Sauna, Kotiharjun Sauna, Furuvik Sauna

 

Accommodation:

3 nights in cozy, locally selected hotels and cottages

 

Food:

Breakfast always included, plus handpicked dining experiences along the way

Group Size:

Small and personal — travel solo or bring a friend. 

Getting There:

Fly to Helsinki Airport (HEL) — all transport in Finland is arranged

Meet your guides

Ida – Your Local Finnish Guide

Founder of Northern Star and born into the Finnish sauna tradition, Ida is your local connection throughout the journey. From sharing stories and cultural insights to guiding you in and out of saunas and curating authentic food and nature experiences, she makes sure you experience Finland as locals do.

Nichlas – Your Sauna Master

Based in Helsingborg, Nichlas is a gusmaster with a passion for creating atmosphere and connection inside the sauna. With his aufguss rituals, warm löyly, and positive energy, he sets the tone for each session and keeps the group together – making every sauna experience unforgettable.

Journey Overview

Day 01 - Arrival and First Heat

Start in Helsinki with an authentic smoke sauna experience, then continue to seaside cottages in Santalahti for a panoramic aufguss and dinner by the fire.

Day 02 - Nature, ice and brewery

Morning hike and fire-cooked lunch in the forest, aufguss by the frozen lake, and an evening of local beer, food, and warmth.

Day 03 - City Classic

Morning sauna by the sea before heading to Helsinki. Visit Kotiharjun, the city’s oldest wood-fired sauna. The evening is free, with the option to join Nichlas and Ida for dinner in the Kallio district.

Day 04 - End by the sea

Breakfast in Helsinki followed by a final sauna at Furuvik by the sea. A calm ending to the journey before departure.

  • Price: 14,000 SEK / 9500 DKK / 1270 EUR per person
  • Dates: 5–8 March 2026
  • Duration: 4 days / 3 nights
  • Group Size: Max 15 participants. Solo travellers, couples, and friends are all welcome
  • Language: Swedish, Danish and English

  • Two nights at Santalahti Resort in a double room (twin beds)

  • One night at Hotel Katajanokka

Santalahti’s Luxury Villas are a warm, social seaside base surrounded by nature. Single-bed bedrooms, roomy living areas and open kitchens invite shared cooking and unwinding. Each villa has its own sauna and views of forest and coastline.
